Choosing the right size box for your removal 

 

 

Boxes can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes!

Within reason, it doesn’t matter what size box you use as long as they’re good quality double-walled boxes

Here we explain all the three main types of boxes we use, and what they’re used for...

Small/medium boxes

A Pack 6 box is 18x13x13inches or 45x30x30cm

These smaller boxes are designed for heavier items such as books, DVDs, CDs, paperwork, heavier mugs and heavier items. Please fill the box to the top so they don’t get crushed when other items are put on top, when they are loaded into the van

Large boxes

A Pack 2 box is 18x18x20 inches or 45x45x50cm

These can be described as a large box. These larger boxes are designed to hold slightly lighter items such as board games, clothing, shoes, lighter crockery and plates etc

Tall boxes

Our tall boxes are 18x18x30inches or 45x45x75cm

These taller boxes can be used for lamps, duvets, pillows, pictures and any awkward shaped item that won’t fit in another box

So remember:

• have plenty of decent quality removal boxes to hand
• the smaller the box, the heavier the item
• the larger the box, the lighter the items
• make sure you seal all edges and completely close as many cartons as possible to make stacking the van as simple as possible for your mover
• label the box with the room the item needs delivering to
